What you will master after this workshop
Active listening
Active listening is an approach that seeks to get people talking through a set of listening postures and techniques. This approach, which originated in psychotherapy, is highly effective in user research, for rapidly building trust with interlocutors in order to gather the most authentic experiences possible.
Conducting interviews
Interview moderation is essential in user research. It involves knowing how to prepare a question guide, knowing who and how to recruit a panel, understanding how to ask questions and how to follow up. The aim here is to practice in as realistic a context as possible, so as to be confronted with real-life situations.
Building an experience map
Building an experience map is an essential step in synthesizing user feedback. The challenge is to represent the different stages of a user journey as visually as possible, and to associate an emotional level with them, so as to understand at a glance what is going well, what isn't, and what can be improved.
